The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting our internal clients and have an in-depth knowledge of the cosmetic market. The Jr. Automation Process Engineer will be involved in process equipment design, operation, write and ensure compliance of manufacturing design equipment to agreed standard operating procedures. This candidate will work hands-on with our cosmetics machines.

Responsibilities:
- Perform concept tests to approve the feasibility of processes by designing sample production and conducting line trail test
- Evaluate machinery and processes by collecting data and/or samples to identify, improve and generate appropriate processes and product/process specifications
- Research and assist with purchase of new technology and implement new machine specifications to fit Production requirements
- Responsible for drafting SOP documentation ensuring machinery compatibility for both Production and Maintenance Department
- Establishing strong working relationships with equipment manufacturers, suppliers and internal departments
Job Requirements:
- Sc. degree in Engineering or equivalent field
- Experience in a chemical manufacturing plant is an asset
- Experience in the use of design of experiment techniques to solve manufacturing issues
- Hands-on and comfortable working with industrial manufacturing equipment
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines and fast-changing workload

Strong team player and excellent people skills and the ability to communicate at all levels

Knowledge of current and potential cosmetic trends are an asset
