Our company is an industry leader in structural steel/mechanical equipment supply and installation. We are looking for a Journeyman/Red Seal Mobile Crane Operator to join our team.
Summary:
Duties for this position primarily consist of mobile crane operation on construction sites. Our operators work alongside our field crews to complete complex installations. This permanent, full-time position involves being away from home for short periods of time.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Safe operation of mobile cranes:
- Rough Terrain (35T/50T/110T)
- Truck Cranes (65T/110T)
- Boom Trucks (17T/18T/50T)
- Carry Decks (8T/15T/18T)
- Follow instructions from site supervisor and field staff to effectively rig, hoist and install materials and equipment
- Create, manage, and assist with formal safe lift plans where required
- Perform or assist with routine maintenance on craning equipment and effectively communicate with supervisors, fleet manager and maintenance staff
- Other equipment operations may apply (telehandler, forklift, semi)
Education, Experience, skills:
- Red Seal or Journeyman Mobile Crane Operator certification
- Class 1 license
- Familiarity with crane charts, rigging limitations, calculations, weights, and lift planning
- Availability to work extended shifts and be away from home when necessary
- Must be physically capable of the duties described and able to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions
- Part time or casual employment may be considered for the right candidate
Compensation:
- Salary to be on an hourly basis, $37 and up depending on qualifications and experience.
- Overtime remunerated at 1.5x when applicable
- 6% vacation pay and 4% general holiday pay on each pay cheque
